To all daughters...you are special and you are loved.

I began writing letters to my daughter several years ago when I was going through a really difficult time in my life. I wrote these letters in a journal. The reason I started writing them was I was concerned about this probing question: What if something happened to me? Would my daughter ever know the real me? How can I leave behind a legacy of who I am, what I believe, where I came from? Would my friends be able to share my real feelings inside? Would they have experiences that I have had to teach her for her future? My purpose in writing is to express my heart to my daughter in a way that is easy to understand and comes from the heart. My hope is that these words will inspire others...be it young mothers, daughters without mothers or mothers who need support to gain some insight and hope for dealing with the struggles we face.
