Dear sweet daughter of mine,
It is a normal, healthy desire for a woman to long to be wanted (and I mean really wanted) by a man. I think it is also normal for a woman to want to feel important, pursued and valued. There will come a point in your life, when you will have the same desire. I only hope and pray that you will have learned from my lessons on what not to do or allow in your life. When a man loves a woman, he will do whatever it takes to make sure that she is happy. Her happiness is of he utmost importance. He will work hard to make sure that she feels safe, valued, important and loved. He will be careful with who he spends time with and he won’t make choices that could harm her heart. He will protect her heart above all else because the heart is the most important. When a man loves a woman, he will not leave her for any reason. He will stay and fight for their love. He will not look outside of their relationship to seek companionship elsewhere. He wouldn’t need to as he has everything he needs right in front of him. He wouldn’t waste any time fixing problems and would not want to wait until days later to resolve conflict because he would want to make sure that she knew how valued and loved she was. I hope you see this love in my relationship with Gilad. I hope that my life story with your dad has not tarnished your feelings towards men and marriage. That wouldn’t be fair. There is a song that my mom, your Mama, used to love. It is called, “When a Man Loves a Woman” by Percy Sledge. I think it was even retooled by Michael Bolton. You should look it up.It is a beautiful song about how a man will do anything to show his love to his woman no matter the cost to himself.
